Frequently Asked Questions

What is counselling?

Counselling offers you a safe, confidential space, to discuss your concerns and explore issues that are causing you difficulties and pain with a qualified professional.

Sally will put you at ease, listen without judgement, and support you to move in a positive direction.

What can I expect from my first session?

In the first session you will meet your  Sally, explore your situation and what changes you hope to achieve, and begin to agree a way forward.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions last for one hour.

How often will I attend?

It is usually recommended that you attend counselling sessions at least once per week. Your personal circumstances will be taken into account and this will be agreed between us.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on your situation and what it is that you hope to gain from taking part in therapy. Some people benefit from short term counselling, between 6 and 12 sessions, whilst others continue with medium or longer term therapy.

How much does counselling / Psychotherapy cost?

Individual counselling is £45 per session and couples counselling is £55 per session or £100 for a double session. All sessions last for one hour, or two hours for a double session. Block bookings are available which reduces the cost of sessions and payment is required no later than 48 hour before each session.
