Research shows that for many clients the relationship with their Counsellor or Psychotherapist is what they felt helped them the most.
I work on the philosophy that both
you and I are 'okay' as people. I am okay with you and whatever brings you to seek therapy. Feeling understood and heard, sometimes for the first time, is what my clients often tell me has been the most powerful part of their counselling journey.
Here's the bit where I briefly talk about myself. Most people want to make sure that their Counsellor is adequately trained and experienced right?
I'm Sally Moore, a qualified, experienced, BACP registered Counsellor & Advanced Trainee Psychotherapist.
I have always enjoyed working with people, and so becoming a Counsellor was a natural step for me. In addition to counselling, I enjoy working with people who benefit from deeper work and so continued training in Transactional Analysis (TA) psychotherapy.
Having over 15 years' experience of working with young people and professionals in further education and specialist colleges, much of my counselling and psychotherapy work is with people and couples aged 18 - 35, however, I do work with adults of all ages.
In addition to my counselling and psychotherapy work, I have taught on a counselling course at a local college. I am also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, approved by Mental Health First Aid England to deliver a range of Mental Health courses nationally.
In addition to counselling qualifications and experience, I'm a Trainee Psychotherapist, working towards becoming a Certified Transactional Analyst.
